The Data Analyst role will report to Senior Finance Manager - Processes, Policies & Governance - as part of the Controls, Policies & Governance (CPG) team:

Focus, Scope, & Impact

  • Coordinate with stakeholders for the timely, comprehensive, and consistent communication of all policy and governance content (i.e., updates to Standard Practices and Procedures (SPPs), Accountant in Charge (AIC) Memorandums, Governance Digest Newsletters, policy exemptions, etc.). This includes quality checks of policy content, formatting, grammar, etc.

  • Utilize data analytics to monitor the effectiveness of the global internal control environment (specifically, remediation governance – reporting on the process of tracking progress towards action plans with control owners to address observations from Internal and External Audit teams), as part of the quarterly and annual process to support Management’s assessment of internal controls over financial reporting and related disclosures (SOX Act, Sections 302/404), as well as Management’s communication to the Board of Directors (specifically, Audit Committee).

  • Continuously evolve and digitize CPG team ways of working with new technologies/applications and enhanced data visualization dashboards to communicate insights (i.e., process health metrics for many process areas, global remediation governance, etc.).

  • Maintain and continuously evolve CPG ways of communication (intranet SharePoint pages and content, newsletters, training materials, various online content hubs).

  • Coordinate with Internal Audit and External Auditors, and further relevant stakeholders on internal controls related requests, including archived content.

  • Ensure appropriate and monitored system access to multiple CPG applications, shared folders, shared content sites.

  • Assist in the development, communication, and effective delivery of governance training.

Experience

  • Finance/Accounting, Communications, Data Science, or related degree.

  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills as well as oral and written communications.

  • Ability to remain flexible and flourish in a fast-paced, complex environment with competing priorities and deadlines, including a willingness to adapt to new circumstances, information, and challenges.

  • Curiosity to continuously learn new tools/technologies and lead/assist in the evolution of tools/technologies to improve and digitize CPG ways of working.

  • Experience developing dashboards in Power BI or other similar data consolidation/visualization technology.

Work Focus

The Controls, Policies & Governance (CPG) team, within the Corporate Controller’s Group, is charged with establishing and evolving The Coca-Cola Company’s internal controls, financial policies, and governance processes across the global organization. This position offers an excellent opportunity to build broad knowledge of the Company’s global business and its governance processes as The Coca-Cola Company continues to transform towards a top-quartile growth company that refreshes the world and makes a difference. This role is responsible for the communication of policy and governance content and data analytics for key processes. The Senior Data Analyst will provide valuable insights through data, driving the automation and efficiency of processes, empowering CPG to further use analytics to bring value to the business.

Communication Focus

The role regularly operates as the go-to support for all policy and governance communication. The role regularly communicates with the broader CPG team, Corporate teams (i.e., Corporate Audit, etc.), and other key stakeholders for control/policy related topics. The role requires a good executive presence to set and communicate control and policy standards confidently, and an ability to interact with different levels within the organization including Senior Leadership. As the role defines global policy content and communicates insights up to the Board of Directors, strong written communication skills with a high attention to detail, and the ability to break down complexity into comprehensive communication, are imperative.
